Crude oil prices rise

Crude oil prices rose on the New York Mercantile Exchange early Thursday but remained lower than they were a week ago.Prices rose 77 cents to $49.62 per barrel, but have dropped from above $52 a barrel last week. City gets rebate check, approves new ordinances

The city of Southlake received a rebate check at Tuesday night’s meeting in the amount of $3,258.83. The check is from Oncor, who sponsors a program named CitySmart. Through this program, the city is given incentives for projects that reduce energy consumption.
