Hi William, Sorry to say that the DC transmission system would have more problems than were alluded to above. The power loss along the transmission line (even 1 mile) would be more than the wire could handle. The physics is not there if you plan to use a central power source. I believe the only method that would work using DC Power Distribution was mentioned by another poster - distributed power ...
