Electric utility company Duke Energy Corp. Thursday reported a rise in fourth-quarter profit, helped by favorable weather and gains on sale of non-core businesses. Revenues grew from last year and exceeded analysts' expectations, but adjusted earnings disappointed the market. However, the company forecast adjusted earnings for fiscal 2011 above estimates, sending its shares up in pre-market trade. |
