Former basic employees plead guilty

Former Basic Energy Services employees Douglas Pierce, Sidney, and Ricky Wolla, Minot, N.D., have pleaded guilty to felony mail fraud in Federal Court Tuesday in Billings. Larry Strouf, Sidney, pleaded guilty on Wednesday. Basic Energy Services is a Midland, Texas, based company servicing oil well sites in the area. |
SSCAFCA project gets top national certification

Call it a first for the state. SSCAFCA, the Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority, has achieved LEED Platinum Certification, as well as the first “net-zero†energy use on the construction of its commercial office expansion in Rio Rancho. The agency says it is the first LEED Platinum building in New Mexico that is 100 percent publicly financed. |
