San Rafael to stay with Marin Energy Authority

The San Rafael City Council decided Jan. 4 to stay with the Marin Energy Authority (MEA), a joint powers authority through which cities in Marin are negotiating an environmentally friendly electricity-purchase contract with likely supplier Shell Energy North America at or below PG&E’s rates. MEA intends to execute that contract by early February.
