Part of a scientist's duty is that of being skeptical â€" (consensus is not science). I do hate pollution, smog, waste of energy, Hummers, but is man so all powerful that he can control nature and the climate of the world? Is it man or nature that make short term climate warming and cooling?

A substation in east Asheville that lost power around 11 a.m. is back up and running. Company spokeswoman Martha Thompson said Progress Energy did not know what caused the outage, which last for about a half an hour and cut off power to 16,000 customers around Fairview and Oteen.
