He's running for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison's soon-to-be vacated Senate seat, as she makes her run for Governor. Mr. White has been Houston's mayor for three terms, before that he was a business man and Deputy Secretary of Energy. He says he would bring something special to the Senate office.
